This year again, all participants to the latest sessions of the celebrated Hacking by Numbers (HBN Network Security Enforcement) training courses seemed to enjoy the experience a lot ! These trainings, organized by Navixia in collaboration with Sensepost, took place in Lausanne between on September 3-4-5 and September 10-11, 2007. They provided a complete and practical window, at different levels, into the methods and thinking of hackers. The courses were conducted by Charl van der Walt, who is founder member and Director of Service Delivery for SensePost Information Security - a leading information security services company. Charl studied Computer Science at UNISA and Mathematics at the University of Heidelberg in Germany before joining information security technology house Nanoteq, where he specialized in the design of file network and file security systems. Today a recognized expert in his field, Charl has delivered papers and presentations at numerous international events from South Africa to Japan. He has authored numerous published papers and co-authored four books on information security and computer hacking.
